We can offer cost effective fire alarm installation, maintenance and service for small to medium commercial premises and residential properties including guest houses and hotels.

All equipment used is from reputable well know manufacturers such as Apollo, Fike and C-Tec and installed to the applicable BS5839 standard. For properties not requiring a full system we can fit stand alone or interlinked smoke and heat detection or incorporate detection into your intruder alarm.

BS5839 fire alarms should be maintained periodically to a level set by the buildings fire officer but should always be at least every 6 months. This is in addition to weekly tests conducted by system owners/users.

A fire alarm maintenance visit by a professional installer and maintenance supplier allows you to stay legal and address your “duty of care” responsibilities and allow you to record this in your fire systems logbook.

A maintenance visit will ensure that the inspected system is functioning correctly at the time of the visit and any problems either rectified or brought to the responsible building/fire officers attention for remedial work.

The “service” will involve testing every detector (very large systems may be split into two and tested on alternative visits) and sounder for correct operation, ensure sound levels are adequate and that the control and if applicable, signalling equipment are fully functioning. The engineer will also note if weekly tests are being maintained and advise if changes to the building may affect the efficacy of the alarm system.
